The Jews sinned greatly before God through the shedding of blood upon their land and the defiling of their land through
the worship of idols. God in His fury scattered His people throughout the nations for punishment of their sins. "Ezekiel
36:19, "so I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries, I judged them according
to their ways and their deeds". God's choice to punish His people did not in any way negate His covenant with His chosen.
Leviticus 26:44-45, "and yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I
abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break My covenant with them: for I am the Lord their God. The Jews were
scattered throughout the nations for 2,000 years leaving only a remnant in the Holy Land.

They Jews began returning to their land as prophesied in the Word. In 1948 Israel became a Jewish 'State as foretold in
Biblical History. Isaiah 66:8, "who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the land be born in one day?
For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children." In just one day a nation was born as God had promised and
her children began returning home. Israel's population doubled in just a few days. The Lord's covenant was not broken
because; "for God's gifts and His call are irrevocable". Romans 11:29

The Lord is doing before the eyes of the nations what He promised His people. "Therefore say, "thus saith the Lord God, I will
even gather you from the People, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you
the land of Israel". Ezekiel 11:17

Initially the promise land was described as the land of milk and honey. But for 2,000 years the holy land was ravaged and
left baren and desolate, "and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste". Leviticus 26:33.
